Introduction

Pisang Peak is an awe-inspiring pyramid-shaped trekking peak grandstanding above Pisang Village. Pisang village is a village of northern Nepal inside Manang district, a part of Annapurna Circuit Thorong La Pass Trekking. Also, the peak Pisang rises behind the Annapurna II (7,937m), in between two separate 8000 meters peaks; Annapurna I 8,091m and Manaslu 8,156m. For the climbing history of the Pisang peak, the peak was first climbed by the German Expedition team in 1955AD. Pisang Peak Climbing is a combination of the two world’s popular tours. Pisang Peak rises above from Pisang village and yak pastures during a uniform slope of ice and snow to the ultimate summit pyramid. Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft) and transfer to Hotel.

Breakfast Hotel/Resort

Adventure Mountain Nepal Trekking and Climbing’s airport arrival and departure representative will meet you at the airport as per your arrival schedule. He/she welcomes you and drives you to the hotel. Check-in hotel and take a rest or relaxation time at the Hotel. Then you can have a free excursion to know the surroundings and visit our office to get brief information of Annapurna Circuit Trekking, we also conduct an introduction program with the trekking leader and official team.
Accommodation: Hotel or Resort as per your request.
Meal includes: Breakfast. In general we prefer BB plan for your stay in cities so you can choose varieties of tastes in different restaurants around the city.

Day 02: Guided tour around world’s Heritage sites of Kathmandu.

Breakfast Hotel/Resort

Early morning breakfast at the hotel. Our guide will pick you up from the hotel for sightseeing of World Heritage Sites. Actually, there are seven World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu and we arrange sightseeing spots according to your choice, you have to choose only 3/4 spots for a day since it is not possible to visit all places in a single day–at least 2/3 days requires having sightseeing tour of all heritage sites in Kathmandu. World Heritage Sites of UNESCO in Kathmandu are; Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Swyambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa and Changu Narayan Temple. In the evening we again can have a pre-trek discussion.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Chamje (1,410m/4,626ft) via Beshisahar (823m/2,699ft).

Breakfast at hotel then drives to Chamje via Beshisahar. During our full day drive, we can view the beautiful Trishuli River, several villages, farmlands, green high hill, and Marsyangdi River along the way. We turn right from Muglin and drive towards Dumre and then head north to reach Besisahar. After Besisahar we again continue our drive to Chamje. Before the access of road of (Besisahar to Chamje), Besisahar was the starting point of Annapurna Circuit Trekking but now the transport access to Chamje making the duration shorter.

Day 04: Trek from Chamje to Dharapani (1,860m/6,100ft).

5-6 Hrs walk Full Board Tea House available

After having breakfast at the tea house, we begin the trek through corn, barley and potatoes farmlands then to bamboo and rhododendron forest before reaching at the village of Tal and Karte. Beautiful village Tal is located at the base of sand beach and flat land. Continue ahead following few ups and down to Dharapani village. If we are lucky, we can encounter with few wild animals in the trail.

Day 05: Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2,713m/8,898ft).

5-6 Hrs walk Full Board Tea House available

After breakfast at the teahouse then we follow an ascends trail through the forest to the west. We walk along with the beautiful panoramic view of Mt. Annapurna II, IV (7,525/24,688ft) and of course Lamjung Himal. We cross small hot spring water to reach Chame village.

Day 06: Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang (3,700m/12,136ft).

5-6 Hrs walk Full Board Tea House available

Breakfast at a teahouse. Then follow a narrow path land through the dense forest that leads us to curved rock face. Pass dense forest and suspension bridge for several times over small rivers. Then follow easy trail where we are surrounded by beautiful White Mountains. After some walk we find U-shaped valley Manang which looks like hanging between two snow peaks. Continue ahead following ups and down the trail to Pisang village.

Day 07: Rest and Acclimatization at Upper Pisang.

Today is about aside for acclimatization alone. Spending time at a high altitude location will guarantee that we have a successful trip. We spend the entire day resting and exploring the village. Exploring the village and interacting with the locals will help us get a far better glimpse of the local lifestyle. Throughout the day, the views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Tilicho are ours to marvel at. Overnight in Upper Pisang.

Day 08: Trek from Upper Pisang to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4,380m/14,370ft).

3-4 Hrs walk Full Board Tea Houses are not available–Tented Camps

We begin our trek after breakfast towards the Pisang Base Camp. We ascend on a trail that passes through a skinny forest and grasslands. The pasture is employed for grazing yaks and is additionally the simplest place to line up our camp. the bottom is flat and falls on a frequented trail. Overnight at the Pisang Peak Base Camp.

Day 09: Trek from Base Camp to Pisang Peak High Camp (5,400m/17,712ft).

We ascend on the south-west ridge and reach the high camp. After fixing our camp, we participate in basic climbing training. Our guides will provide training on peak climbing techniques and therefore the proper ways of using climbing gears like the ice axe , climbing boots, and crampons, harness, ascender, etc. The training also will include using ropes to travel up and down. Although it's not mandatory to possess prior training for Pisang Peak climbing, we strongly believe that some training experience will boost your confidence and climbing skills to extend the probabilities of scaling the summit also fully enjoy the experience. Day 10: Summit Pisang Peak climbing (6,091m/19,983ft) & back to Base Camp.

7-8 Hrs ascend/descend Full Board Tea Houses are not available–Tented Camps

We begin our trek early within the morning after breakfast. Today’s trail are going to be totally on rocky surfaces. The height is steep; therefore, there's not much snow. we'll require around 20m of rope to hop on a ridge. round the summit is around 70 degree of slope which can require the usage of around 200m rope. Both fixed rope and main rope are going to be used. The views of the Annapurna ranges et al. are extraordinary from the summit. We return to the bottom camp for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Trek from Pisang Peak Base Camp to Manang (3,551m/11,647ft).

5-6 Hrs walk Full Board Tea House available

From the bottom camp of Pisang peak, we trek towards Pisang village. From Pisang, there are two routes to Manang. we select the one which passes through Upper Pisang via Geru because it guarantees outstanding views of Mt. Annapurna, Pisang Peak. As we walk near Manang the climate becomes more cold and dry. However, a brief visit to Barge Monastery, the most important monastery within the Manang District should cheer us up. Overnight at Manang.

Day 12: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,484ft).

3-4 Hrs walk Full Board Tea House available

After breakfast we follow ascends trail, cross-stream then climb to a village Tenki which lies just above Manang. After there we follow the descends trail to the Marshyangdi valley and then turn northwest up to the valley of Jarsamg Khola. Moving ahead passing a small village, few pastures, and juniper trees and climb down to the small village Ghunsa. After that, we cross the Small River on the wooden bridges that lead us to the ancient old Mani wall. Some walk after Mani wall we climb again uphill to reach a beautiful village of Yak Kharka.

Day 13: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600m/15,092ft).

3-4 Hrs walk Full Board Tea House available

Breakfast at teahouse then start the trek to the foot of the pass Thorong Phedi which is small but busy settlement provides food and shelter to trekkers and climbers. This village is said as the base camp by trekkers and climber. Some climber trek up to high camp today but it is safe to stay here to have a sound sleep in lower altitude than risking sleeping in the higher altitude.

Day 14: Trek to Muktinath (3,800m/12,467ft) via Thorang La Pass (5,416m/17,764ft).

7-8 Hrs walk Full Board Tea House available

Early morning Breakfast at a teahouse, start walking early in the morning at 4 A.M. We have to cross Thorong La pass, the highest and main attraction point during our trek in the morning since if we become late to cross the pass, the snow will be melted by sunlight and overall weather goes worse. We spend a short and crucial time at the pass with photographs of splendid scenery, and then the trail starts following a long descend all the way to Muktinath. Muktinath is a famous temple of Hindu and Buddhist Goddess with massive religious significant offers a grand view of Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna, Katung, and other snow-capped peaks.

Day 15: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2,730m/8,954ft).

3-4 Hrs walk Full Board Tea House available

Breakfast at teahouse then we visit famous pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhists Muktinath temple, Vishnu temple, and Gompa. After that, we follow the descends trail Jharkot. After there we follow a continuous motor road all the way to Jomsom, thus it is also an option to have a jeep drive from Muktinath to Jomsom. In the evening explore around Jomsom Bazaar and enjoy the celebration on the occasion of complete Pisang Peak Climbing with the AMN Trekking and Climbing Team.

Day 16: Fly to Pokhara. Sightseeing, boating or free for any other personal activities.

Breakfast Hotel/Resort

We take a morning flight to Pokhara from Jomsom. Once we reach the beautiful lake city Pokhara, a full day feels free to have personal activities, know the surroundings, rest and relaxation, boating at Fewa Lake, etc.

Day 17: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Breakfast & Farewell Dinner Hotel/Resort

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive/fly to Kathmandu. The remaining time is to feel free for leisure and personal activities such as Shopping, markets explore, spa, massage, rest, and relax can be an option. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner together with an entire team of Adventure Mountain Nepal.

Day 18: Final departure. Drop to airport as per flight schedule.

Our airport arrival and departure representative will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport on your scheduled flight.

Where is Pisang Peak ?

How hard is Pisang Peak Climbing ?

Pisang Peak Climbing is considered strenuous peak to climb. It isn't that technically difficult to climb Pisang Peak and it is beginner level trekking peak. It is recommended for beginner climbers.

Which is the best season for Pisang Peak Climbing ?

The best season for Pisang Peak is during Spring (March, April and May) and Autumn (October and November). During these seasons conditions are safe enough for climbers to try and reach the summit, the weather will be clear, moderate temperature, you will get long sunlight hours, fewer bugs, flowers will bloom on the way, the charm of the atmosphere can be felt by the heart, magnificent views of the Himalayas can be seen and you can escape the crowd and enjoy adventure peak climbing.

How long will Pisang Peak Climbing take ?

According to the standard itinerary our Pisang Peak Climbing is of 18 days from your arrival to Kathmandu to farewell at Airport. If you wish to amend the itinerary you have to contact our booking manager and climbing leaders; they will prepare the best itinerary for you.

How many climbers will there be in a group ?

Generally for Climbing and Mountaineering we take up to 10 members in a group so that we can guide and coordinate each of them perfectly. If you have a group with more than ten members it’s fine with us. We provide some customizable features however if you are planning to climb solo it is not possible due to the restrictions made by Nepal Mountaineering Association(NMA).

What about Food and Accommodation Services ?

Due to the advancement of the trekking industry, we can find enough lodges and tea houses throughout trip routes. They offer good food and accommodation. There are different options you can choose according to your needs and budget. Also you should know that at high altitude and remote places the service will be limited.

Do I need to have Travel Insurance during Trip ?

Yes!! It is recommended to have travel insurance during the trip. It is uncertain that you will not feel sick or get into any accidents during the trip. So, for medical emergencies and as precaution against risks and financial losses that could happen while climbing/trekking, insurance is best.

Should I manage the equipment/accessories for climbing by myself ?

All the equipment/accessories required for climbing will be arranged for you. You will have to pay the amount for equipment. If you personally want to manage any equipment by yourself it’s fine. Are your staff equipped/trained & insured ?

We hire our staff according to their standards. They should have to go through our selection procedure on which we will check their certifications, qualifications and experience. Hence, Our staff are equipped/trained and insured.

What about altitude Sickness ?

Normally, within 12-24 hours after ascending a certain height (1,500 to 2,500 meter above sea level) altitude sickness symptoms like fatigue, loss of appetite, dizziness, sleep problems, shortness of breath, and loss of energy can be seen. In case of any altitude sickness symptoms we will apply medication and descend immediately for acclimatization. Measures for treating Acute Sickness:

  • You should stop and rest where you are for at least 24 to 48 hours
  • If you feel sick, take an anti-sickness medicine, such as promethazine/diamox
  • Make sure you're drinking adequate amount of water
  • Smoking, Drinking alcohol, or Exercise will make it worse

    Great Trip We had a great time in Nepal thanks to Pradip and his team! From landing to take off we were thoroughly looked after. We were greeted at the airport and the same person helped us in Katmandu both sides of the trek, picking us up from our domestic flight and again taking us to the airport at the end. He was always early and received a sweet momento on arrival and departure. Due to weather we unfortunately had to make a last minute decision to change our route; Pradip and the guide See Wa were very accommodating and we easily changed from ACT to Poon Hill and ABC. He quickly sent us a new itinerary and we were picked up the following morning. We were given options as to how we wanted to get to Pokhara and Pradip made this seamless for us. Many trekkers also had to change their route to ABC rather than other routes like ACT and EBC which meant the tea houses were very busy. Our guide ensured that we always had a room to stay in and was flexible with our itinerary if we wanted to walk further/fit in a visit to the hot spring. At times it was a bit difficult to communicate with the guide due to the language barrier and we found we were fitter so would often be walking ahead with one of the porters but over all we had a good experience and would recommend.

    16 day tour to Gokyo Ri & EBC My girlfriend and I went on a 16 day tour to Gokyo Ri and Everest Base Camp and were in Nepal for almost 4 weeks. All I can say is that Pradip is an outstanding person.     Gokyo Ri & Everest Base Camp Trek - January 2022 Cet agence touristique est réellement à l'écoute des besoins de ses clients et tente toujours de répondre à toutes leurs questions. J'ai pu tout organiser à distance avec Pradip Sharma qui a été très transparent sur les tarifs pratiqués et m'a accompagné dans la préparation de cette aventure, notamment en me guidant dans mes derniers achats à Katmandou et en m'évitant les arnaques.Pendant la randonnée, mon guide Mane s'est montré très professionnel lorsque la haute altitude est venue altérer ma condition physique. Son soutien et ses conseils ont été indispensables. Il est préférable d'organiser cette marche au printemps ou à l'automne pour éviter le froid pouvant aller jusqu'à -18°C...Il faut une dizaine de jours soit pour Gokyo Ri, soit pour EBC. Pour boucler les deux en un coup, il faut 15 jours.L'expérience est intense et parfois difficile mais reste inoubliable.
