Trip Introduction:

Annapurna massif is located in the north central part of Nepal which includes one major peak above 8,000 meters from sea level that is called Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m/26,545ft). The 55 kilometers long massif contains total sixteen peaks above 6,000 meters and total thirteen peaks above 7.000 meters which is leaped by world’s deepest Kali Gandaki Gorge on the west and Marshyangdi River on the north and east and by Pokhara valley on the south. Annapurna I is the world’s tenth highest mountain. The complete Annapurna massif is located inside the Annapurna Conservation Area which is the largest and first conservation area project of Nepal.

If we go through documented records, Annapurna I expedition is recognize as world’s dangerous mountain to climb since the death record is highest of all eight-thousander. Mt. Annapurna I Expedition can be considered as a most challenging adventure climbing in Nepal. Mt. Annapurna I was first climbed by a French expedition team in 1950.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft altitude) and transfer to Hotel.

Day 02: Guided tour to Kathmandu’s World Heritage sites
Spend the day on the guided tour to Kathmandu. Kathmandu is the social and historical heart of Nepal. Visit its world’s heritage sites like Bauddhanath, the Tibetan Buddhist landmark, and Pashupatinath. Also, visit other world heritage sites- Swayambhunath, Patan Krishna Temple, and Durbar Square. Additionally, meander through city bazaar to purchase some customary items of Nepal.

Day 03: Drive: Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/2,689ft altitude- 5-6 Hrs. drive)
After breakfast, we will take a beautiful drive through crisscross hilly roads to reach Pokhara. Pokhara is a lovely town set on the banks of the peaceful Fewa Lake. It is traveler’s heaven loaded with natural beauties and cultural heritage spots, for example, caves, lakes, Buddhist and Hindu temples alongside the entrancing high mountains. Transfer to hotel on reaching Pokhara.

Day 04: Drive: Pokhara to Nayapul (1 & half Hr drive) & Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,577m/5,172ft altitude- 3-4 Hrs. walk)
Today we take another short drive of around one hour to achieve Nayapul – the beginning stage of the trek. From Nayapul we begin trekking on the route through the Modi Khola River Valley. Land at Birethanti. At Birethanti we will make a stop for registration and permit checks. Then our trek proceeds through stunning terraced farmlands to achieve Tikhedhunga.

Day 05: Trek: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,855m/9,364ft altitude- 5-6 Hrs. walk)
Today begin the trek via intersection at a little stream. then take a steep ascend for around three hours over the stone-staircase to achieve Ulleri (2,070 meters). From that point our trek proceeds through thick rhododendron forests towards Nangethanti. Then a progressive tough trekking will lead us to Ghorepani. We will be welcomed by amazing panoramas of high mountains in Ghorepani.

Day 06: Morning hike for Poonhill (3,210m/10,528ft altitude) & Trek to Tatopani (2,520m/8,265ft altitude- 5-6 Hrs. walk)
Begin early morning to climb for an hour to reach over to the highest point of Poon Hill. View all-encompassing panorama of Annapurna (8081m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak, Fishtail and many also appreciate the beautiful sunrise.

After spending a lovely morning at Poon Hill, start the trail down to Ghorepani. Our trek from that point goes down steeply to cross Kali Gandaki River through a suspension bridge over. Subsequent to crossing it our trek comes to the leveled route until we land at Tatopani. In Nepali language, Tatopani means ‘Hot Spring’. Unwind at the Natural Hot Spring.

Day 07: Trek: Tatopani to Ghasa (2.010m/6,593ft altitude- 5-6 Hrs. walk)
The trek takes after the Kali Gandaki valley; you will appreciate a wonderful day’s strolling along the Kali Gandaki riverside, gradually moving into the sub-tropical floral region. Reach Ghasa.

Day 08: Trek: Ghasa to Lete (2,480m/8,134ft altitude- 4-5 Hrs. walk)
After breakfast, we will take an ascending trail that goes for a few hours. Our trek moves through subtropical vegetation with amazing perspectives of encompassing mountains and wonderful valleys. Reach Lete.

Day 09: Trek: Lete to Thulo Bugin Campsite (3,260m/10,692ft altitude- 5-6 Hrs. walk)
We trek over the route that ascends further to high snow-capped vegetation. After a few hours of trekking, we will touch base at Thulo Bugin where there is a decent campsite. Our Sherpa group will take care of all the errands of climbing gears, carrying tents and other vital things required for the climbing and trekking.

Day 10: Trek: Thulo Bugin to Hum Khola (4,286m/1,4058ft altitude- 6 Hrs. walk)
Today take the trail that heads through rocky and loose route. Trekking in higher elevations can be extremely tiring, so will be resting once in a while. Land at Hum Khola.

Day 11: Trek: Hum Khola to Miristi Khola (4,130m/13,546ft altitude- 5-6 Hrs. walk)
Today the trail that contains a few ascends and descends and afterward levels out for quite a while. Following few hours of trekking, we will land at Miristi Khola

Day 12: Trek: Miristi Khola to North Base Camp (4,190m/13,743ft altitude- 4-5 Hrs. walk)
After breakfast, proceed the trek over the rather leveled trail to achieve Annapurna North Base Camp. From now onwards we will take care of potential risk with physical and mental wellness keeping in mind the end goal to successfully achieve one of the hardest trek- Mt Annapurna I (8000 meters).

Day 13-45: Climbing Period Mount Annapurna I (8,091m/26,538ft altitude) and descend to return base camp.
Now we will spend a few days doing training on climbing and to get acclimatized. To achieve the summit of one of the deadliest mountains on the planet – Mt Annapurna I. Considering legitimate climate conditions we head towards the summit. Completely acclimatized and appropriately equipped with all the climbing gears we will begin our real trek. We will trek on the steps of our accomplished climbing Sherpa guides and conquer a few technical climbing zones.

On successfully achieving the climb to the summit you will be rewarded with stunning perspectives of high mountains in Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan Ranges. After spending short, however, quality minutes at the summit, begin to move down following a similar route back to the base camp.

Day 46: Trek: Base Camp to Miristi Khola (4,130m/13,546ft altitude- 4-5 Hrs. walk)
After breakfast clean the base camp. Get ready for the return voyage. We begin to follow the similar trail that heads back towards Miristi Khola.

Day 47: Trek: Miristi Khola to Thulo Bugin campsite (3,260m/10,692ft altitude- 5-6 Hrs. walk)
Today keep on retracing the route on a similar trail that goes through Hum Khola. From that point, we trail downward steeply for few hours to achieve Thulo Bugin campsite.

Day 48: Trek: Thulo Bugin to Lete (2,480m/8,134ft altitude- 3-4 Hrs. walk)
We will take the similar trail that drops down to subtropical vegetation. We will trek until reaching to Lete.

Day 49: Trek: Lete to Ghasa (2,010m/6,593ft altitude- 5-6 Hrs. walk)
From Lete our trail plummets following a similar trail till we land back to Ghasa. Our trek will offer the mountainic view of Annapurna territory with excellent valleys. Evening at leisure.

Day 50: Trek: Ghasa to Tatopani (2,520m/8,265ft altitude- 5-6 Hrs. walk)
Today, you trek 5 hrs. from Ghasa to Tatopani. The trail plummets steeply till Rukse Chhahara, en-route see incredibly picturesque Rukse Waterfalls, the deepest crevasse on the planet. Afterward, relax and take bathe in Natural Hot Water Spring.

Day 51: Trek to return Beni (875m/2870ft altitude- 4-5 Hrs. walk) & Drive to Pokhara (2 Hrs. Drive)
Today our trek proceeds on the trail that goes slowly down to Beni, trek will complete here. From Beni, we will take a drive to reach back to Pokhara. Transfer to the hotel once we land at Pokhara.

Spend the day at leisure or in evening meander in the wonderful city of Pokhara.

Day 52: Drive: Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast, leaving Pokhara take a drive back of four to five hours to reach Kathmandu. We will drive along Prithvi Highway which offers picturesque hilly crisscross streets through the banks of Trishuli River. Amid our drive, we go through roadside market towns and beautiful villages and will have a chance to watch the lifestyle of locals.
