Annapurna Region
The region is protected by the Annapurna conservation area(ACAP) which is spread around 7629sqkm and is home to around 1226 species of flowering plants, 105 mammals, 518 birds, 40 reptiles, and 23 amphibians
The upper sub-alpine environment protects some of the rare faunal species like snow leopard and blue-sheep.The region shelters over 100 species of orchids and lush rhododendron forest.
